Tuesday, July 5th 2011 meeting up with our "OTHER-HALF", the Deerfield Ward. After months of planning Girls Camp, then we had our ward split just a few weeks before Girls Camp. We luckily were BLESSED to receive the approval to continue to have Girls Camp together! So here we are just before leaving to Reid Ranch-
Upon arrival to Reid Ranch we had a Flag Ceremony & told the girls their "families"
We played "Big Booty", a Girls Camp FAV!
They were put into their "families" so they could have FHE, devotionals & know who they were in charge of while up at camp.
We had a "Service Wall" where Girls, and leaders could write on a "brick" and tell of a act of kindness or service they saw while up at camp. This however was ruined on one of the first nights of camp, due to a very LARGE, HEAVY and POWERFUL rain storm that came through our area, soaking all the walls, windows & our Bunkhouse. It was a storm that I'm SURE ALL the girls would remember.
Here is our Girls Camp flag, "A Royal Army" Princess themed
I really LOVE these next 2 pictures, they are a story within themselves.
Girls Camp 2011
Here we asked some of our YCL's to sing one of our Girls Camp songs. Beautifully Spiritual and POWERFUL!
