Mother's Day 2012

I had a really great Mother's Day- It started with going to church, giving the lesson in Beehives/YW's, receiving a tomato plant as we left church. Came home & there was a knock at the door- Madi asked me to answer the door. When I answered the door there wasn't anyone there but a BiG box all wrapped up. I brought it in the kitchen and opened it up to find a "Ninja" Blender- this thing supposedly chops all kinds of items so I can start making my own Green Smoothies- No pictures, sorry! We did end up using it at dinner when we made Strawberry Daiquiri's. And right after we ended dinner we headed over to the Vawdrey's home (Tanner's Best Friend, Braden)- his brother Andrew was opening his mission call, since their older brother, Allen who is on his mission was calling home & they opened it then. Andrew was also on the Soccer team last year with Tanner, Braden, etc. Andrew is like a brother to Tanner-

The boys talking to Elder Allen Vawdrey while people continued to arrive for the opening of the call.

Tamara, Braden & Andrew's mom made a sign of where we each were to predict "WHERE in the World Andrew would GO on his mission?"
A lot of guesses but no one got it...close but not it-
The anticipation...he has been holding onto the call for almost 2 weeks-
Elder Vawdrey, you are hereby called to serve in the Suva, Fiji mission.
(It brought tears to my eyes immediately! I wonder why?)
Here they are looking to find WHERE its at-
Here the boys are trying to see WHO, if anyone picked it- the closest was, Braden, his brother said Somoa.
Here Madi is showing them where its at-
Tender moment with his mom
This was a good picture, but yeah when I was taking it I realized Braden- the stinker! That's Braden though-
This is Elder Vawdrey & Shelby, his girlfriend for the past 2 1/2 years.
Here he is with his call, in front of his house. I called G&G Paskett right after he opened the papers & told them where he was going & of course they offered to have the Vawdrey family over to eat, talk, show pictures of Fiji one Sunday evening. Andrew leaves for the MTC September 19th. 11 days BEFORE Madi's birthday- but you know who said THAT!!!!
And after we were at the Vawdrey's we headed over to Grandma's to see her open a picture that Dad, Matt, Rachel, Digi & Kelly were able to get for her for Mother's Day. We got her a cute card, but it was really special to be there for the opening of this present. This picture has GREAT meaning-

And OF COURSE she couldn't believe they got this picture for her- she said that over & over again.

This picture has great meaning to her, this picture is one by Greg Olsen & is Christ walking with a little boy holding his hand and this little boy has blonde hair, just like Billy.

Todd & Rachel were at Costco last weekend & there was the picture AND Greg Olsen, so he addressed it to her & signed it twice, once on the back and again on the front. It was a BEAUTIFUL moment, wish we could've been a part of it (financially can't afford to do much right now), but so happy we were there for the opening of it. Happy Mother's Day, MOM! Thank you for ALL you have done & CONTINUE daily to do for me & my family. Love you forever & for Always-
