8/12/10 - game #1
Rangers '95 vs Juventus- Loss 2 to 1

The first tournament game we had, our Team Photographer dad, was off on assignment so he didn't make this game to take pics & since he does such a phenomenal job at it, WHY would I take any pictures?

It was a really good game, we dominated the game and had the ball down by the goal for most of it. It was tied up 1 to 1 with just a few seconds left of the game when they had a shot at goal, took it and our normally incredible goalie thought it was going up and over the cross bar. He said he felt the crossbar, but the ball had dropped down in and within a few minutes the game was over.

8/13/10 - game #2 8am
Rangers '95 vs Arsenals- Win 1 to 0

I'm hoping that this picture makes up for the missing pics from the first game. I think Que's dad LOVES taking pictures of Tanner, and you can see why- he pulls GREAT faces in a lot of his pictures.


8/13/10 - game #3 8pm
Rangers '95 vs Utah FC '95- 2 to 0 (1A)

Game #3 was a ROUGH one, with MANY cards pulled, but not on our team! This team, I would say is our RIVAL team. Most of these boys are friends, go to school with each other, play on high school teams together. But at game time, and with the coaches they are NOT FRIENDS, they are the competition! So, when we came out really strong and put a goal in right away, they were mad and the ref's were calling everything on them, which was making them even MORE mad.

Tanner has said since this game that it felt so good to WIN this game. You can't say much back to them when their right, we hadn't WON, only tied, or lost to them in previous games. But NOW, Tanner can just like he said, "Not rub it in, but just KNOWING it was a SHUT OUT & WE WON, feels GOOD ENOUGH!" And with his assist to Harrison for the first goal, made it that much better.


These type of pics are some of my favorite shots that are taken. This was one of the Tanner's all time favorite wins, and as parents ours too.

8/14/10 Semi-final game 8am
Rangers '95 vs RSL Florida- Win 1 to 0

There was this team from Florida that came in for this tournament. It was fun to see a team from another state that wore REAL SL jerseys proudly. They were a bigger team & from what all the boys on our team said had "mouths on them."

For the past couple of years since Tanner has been playing the Sparta Tournament we have been opting out of ALPINE DAYS to come. Today, we had 2 games with Bailey where my Mom ended up taking her to the first one. After this game with Tanner, I ran home to take & watch Bailey play her second game, pick up Madi who was with all the cousins at the parade. After Bailey's game, Madi wasn't ready to come back up to Tanner's Final game so Madi stayed w/ Grandma, then came later to watch with G&G Paskett. Grandpa Gillett also made it to the FINAL game, but Grandma for her birthday was having a facial so she was unable to come. We did have quite a turn out for our team with grandparents, siblings, friends, etc.

8/14/10 - FINAL game 2pm
Rangers '95 vs Sparta Premiere- Win 2 to 1 (1G)

Here is Tanner's GOAL, and you know what follows-

then Sparta scored right soon after this, but Ryan came back right before time expired with a "Bend it Like Beckerman" goal to WIN the game & the Sparta Cup tournament.
