| Lone Peak High School's Basketball team became State Basketball Champions in March and NATIONAL Basketball Champions this month. So after these boys WON the State Championship game they rode home on the bus and I just happened to be pulling out of the Walmart parking lot just across the street from the high school. When the bus came up everyone had lined the streets, cars pulled over, and then came the Fire trucks, engines- horns, sirens and ALL to welcome the team in the school bus. I had THOUGHT I had hit the record button on my phone to video it all, BUT I didn't- so all I got was this LOUSY photo. ;0) |
And just like they say March came in like a Lion, it also brought along with it SOCCER...

Some people say soccer’s a matter of life or death, but it isn’t, it’s much
more then that, and most of all – the best game in the world, our passion, our
life, our future, our love, our game .. SOCCER.~

And as the World Turns, so do the Days of Our Lives...
like I was saying before in a previous post last month. Mike has been interviewing with Destination Homes and was planning on starting with them on Monday, April 1st that was until Wright Homes (Mike previous employer, 5 years ago who had to lay him off due to the economy) got wind of Mike going to work for them. So they took Mike to lunch this past week and wants him to come back to work with them, Wright Homes. They had a few things to discuss and see if they could make it work financially for them, but after looking into it and verifying with him yesterday, Friday March 22nd it looks like Mike will be going back to work for Wright Homes sometime after the 1st of April. This is SO exciting & we've been waiting for this for 5 LONG years. However, at times it sure doesn't seem like it took 5 years, and in other ways it does. But I am SO GRATEFUL for what I've learned and the growth in my Testimony that has happened these past 5 years. I am so grateful for the scriptures, fasting, prayers, family, & support of family and friends that have been here for us this past 5 years. And for the examples of so many who have overcome harder struggles then what we've endured it gives me HOPE.
Now, *hopefully* we can get back on track and recover from this trial!!!
leave in April on his mission, & it TOTALLY HiT me! Tears started to well up, the thoughts of soon there will be NO more watching these boys play the game they love, no more hearing their stories, no more coming into our home & going straight to the candy bowl, no having "Steak" dinners (never have made/cooked/bbq them before) that or mashed potatoes. School dances are down to just a few left...these things will all come to a stop here soon, it really just hit me. ;'o/
Riley Hale had come to watch the last game of these boys that he'd see for awhile. He would soon be off to the MTC to serve a mission. Riley was a GREAT soccer player & the boys loved him. And after the game they all went over to Connor Gundred's home for his Mission Call opening.
