BEAR LAKE 7.4 - 7.11.2022

We haven't been back to Bear Lake for a number of years, & when I had asked our kids WHERE or WHAT they wanted to do this Summer, Tanner especially was interested in going back to Bear Lake this year. Sooo, we decided to stay close & stay here for the vacation- Mike was the only one NOT SO interested in it...I think its MOSTLY, just because we've gone up for SOOO many years!

This first LOOK, NeVeR gets old!!!! <3
And these Chips & Salsa aren't that bad either ;0)  Cafe Sabor FOREVER!

We arrived on Monday, July 4th so that first night we had a GREAT welcoming with Fireworks
just outside that night- Madi & I walked down to the beach to watch them.

At one point that night, we counted 12 different Firework locations across the beach shoreline that was also doing fireworks.

The next morning we headed out for a ride on our Talon. This was a FIRST for us, all these years we've come up here & NEVER have gone for a ride on our side by side machine. This time, we brought it!

It was a BEAUTIFUL ride & different but the same... this bridge was one thing
that was different for this ride...
it goes right under the road you travel up to the Bear Lake overlook.

Lots of cows just roaming

Some beautiful wildflowers....
and Mike made sure to "WATER" them....

We came across this on our ride, it was far away & we thought it was maybe a watch tower for fires etc but when we got up to it, it looks more like a weather station or Satellite, not sure what it was.

For breakfast we went over to try the restaurant called Cody's, but they only made lunch, & so we chose to head up to this place called Crepes & Coffee, it was REALLY GOOD! They had sweet, savory crepes & panini sandwiches & drinks. I had a Lemon crepe, Bailey had a Cinnamon, Caramel & Cream, Mike had Raspberry & Cream, Madi wanted to try two, & couldn't decide so she tried both- Cinnamon & Lemon ones. I think my FAVORITE was mixing my Lemon with Mike's Raspberry one.... SOOO Good!!!

Then after breakfast/lunch Mike, Bailey & I went for a drive around town & down South by the State Beach. On our way back home, we came across a guy whose Honda Pilot suv was STUCK out on the beach, in the sand. Mike used his winch on the Talon & pulled the guy out. I think if we hadn't come along, the guy would've been there the rest of the night!
After the guys suv was pulled out...the hole

Some of the different riding areas & trails
That evening, Tanner & Gracie came up & we went out for dinner & after dinner, stopped for a gelatos, & custards at a new place across & down from Ideal Beach. They played Corn hole while we waited.
Gracie's parents kept T&G informed on the pups & updated pictures regularly...
The nights are HEAVEN here, just sitting on the grassy area, just up from the beach-
we spent a lot of time here...

Late at night, just passing time until it was time for bed, visiting, talking, or playing on our phones

We had set up down at the beach, & after the Allen's arrived we hung out there for the day

That evening we ended up at Zipz for dinner & shakes/Dole whips- however, the girls didn't make it...
The girls all wanted a turn riding in the Talon...but they thought it was loud!

The girls braided hair, did hair wraps etc. Bailey was a PRO at it!
They painted nails too
Like I said, one of our favorite spots during the trip!
More CuTe pictures too!

More hair braids, hair wraps etc.

Mike became quite the wood whittler with his pocket knife!
Beautiful nights playing games, visiting & playing on the playground/swings
ohhh, and taking selfies!
But those SUNSETS!!!

His face while whittling cracks me UP!
