For General Conference this year, I gave Cheryl Schauerhamer's family and Jessie & Braydon Chase, the people we Minister too, this for their weekend enjoyment.

This weekend marks the ONE YEAR mark since Bailey found out about Jordyn & moving out of their home & back into our home last year. So I wanted to make sure we CeLeBRaTeD this weekend of General Conference & made sure it was a ***GooD MeMoRaBLe*** one this year!!! So we WENT down to the Conference Center & waited in line for standby tickets since I couldn't get any-

And it was going to be Morgan's FIRST time going to Women's Conference too!!!

We had a GOOD time! We weren't able to eat before Women's Session, so we ended up going afterward & we were ALL STARVING by 10 pm!!! We ended up going to the Fashion Place Cheesecake Factory after because the one by the Conference Center was so crowded- I think we waited a little too long to eat after, Madi was NOT feeling well!!! Her coloring has been off for a while now...& you can see it in the photos.

Hawk Walk Assembly where Mr Hodson got SLIMED

On Friday night/ early Saturday morning at 12:30 am on October 12th, Madi came into my bedroom to wake me, crying, she said she was in A LOT of pain- a 9 in pain. So we got her in the car & took her into Mountain Point Hospital. They took blood work, urine sample & started her on a pain drip. Around 3:30-4 am they did a external ultra sound, then a internal ultra sound. At this point we wondered if it could be Endometriosis? They got her pain down to about a 4 at this point, then they came back & said she had a lot of fluid in her abdomen, not sure what its from? They did a CT scan, at 4:30 am they called on call GI Dr, wondering if its Crohn's? Wants us to follow up w a DOCTOR at GI Specialist, not just Nurse Practitioner in the next week or so. A lot of inflammation & fluid in  colon/abdomen area. They told us they'd send her home. so we got home around 5:00 am but Madi was suppose to work from 6 am-2 pm, so she got her shift covered, went to sleep- then around 8 am she came in & woke me up and said the Hospital just called & wants her back ASAP because they think it could be a ruptured appendix??? So we got her back down to the Hospital where we stayed for the next 3 days. The ER Dr, Surgeon, etc weren't positive what it is & don't want to go in & do more damage to organs, so they'll just wait & see where we go for the next few days while they monitor her in the hospital. They started her on some antibiotics, & clear liquid diet just in case they have to go in for surgery. Her pain was somewhere between 1-5 while at the hospital. But she was SOOOO HUNGRY the whole time too because she was on a liquid diet. They also had to give her potassium & iron- because her red blood count is still low. She ended up being anemic. She went from a 14, to a 10 to an eight in a matter of a few days- 14 being normal. She was finally able to eat some real food late Sunday evening, & then was released Monday early afternoon, after we were told they'd only release her if she had an appt with one of the MAIN GI Doctors in the group this week. And with that appointment set up, she was released-

This was funny- in her IV it looked like she had Coke or Dr Pepper being given to her but it was the IRON she needed & was low in-

THIS was a SPECIAL experience I never have had, I was in tears when the men passed the Sacrament to Madi & I. It was something we would miss out on, if they wouldn't have come that day. SO GRATEFUL to have this experience with Madi while at the Hospital.

Via has been really good with her & has been letting her work from home when she's not feeling well- which has been a HUGE BLESSING!!!!

We've had a few WINDY days here & for over 2 1/2 years now we've been asking Wes Funk to take care of his trees before they come down, like this & do damage....He now has someone coming to take them all down in the next few weeks. And to clean up the MESS it left on our roof, house and yard-

So after being late coming home from work to pick up Madi to take her to her 2nd Colonoscopy, 

I ran into this lovely traffic in Alpine... ugh!

ROUND TWO

They again took samples for ulcers, inflammation, Crohns, Hpylori & Celiac etc. and did a EDG scope, down the throat. They couldn't get all the way through the colon because she started throwing up, so the Doctor had to withdraw the scope. They got some samples but again, they were negative & weren't able to get into the area they'd like to take samples from.

The weekend after this test, we thought for sure we'd end up in the ER because she was in so much pain, we tried texting Dr Frantz after he gave us his cell number, but no response. Later we came to realize I had text his office not his personal number. But we should have gone in.

Mike at the Lennar Work Retreat up in Park City this year- grateful it was CLOSE by, just in case! At this point it was nightly that Madi was struggling with pain/pressure in her stomach all night. At one point, each night & weekend we were wondering if we'd end up back at the ER...
