Mike helped them with the remodeling and lining up subcontractors, scheduling etc. Mike had his work cut for him, here he is designing the basement floor plan for Bailey to live in.
They were just going to do a few things of remodeling upstairs, but after deciding that they might as well just do the remodel all at once instead of little by little. They began with the upstairs tear out & demolition, then the frame work etc downstairs.
At first the plan was that Tanner & Gracie would live in it while it was being worked on, but really quickly realized they, along with Bailey would just move in with us & try to get the remodeling done quicker & if they weren't living in it.
We put Bailey downstairs with Scout on the tile, so Scout could be here. Tanner was upstairs in the guest bedroom & after 2 weeks or so of Gracie being at her parents place with the girls, she or they asked if she could come here. We obviously agreed- so she took the basement bedroom without the girls, they stayed with her parents.
Tanner, Bailey & Gracie moved out of their townhome in Saratoga Springs & into our home at the end of January, if I remember correctly. With the help of her family. They kept much of their stuff boxed up in Matt Bingham's trailer he uses for his clients moves into their homes. So T&G just left their stuff in the trailer outside their home in Highland during the remodel.
I had come across these Time Capsule letters to ourselves we had written 5 years earlier & found them & brought them out for us to read & laugh at & enjoy the predictions we made & missed!
I purchased my Mazda CX 50 back in November & had the wheels powder coated, so I didn't have a car for a few days & Gracie offered for me to borrow & use her car while I was out my car.
Mike chrome deleted all the accessories, roof rails & put red brake calipers on & it looks PERFECT!
Mornings at school can definitely be interesting, that's for sure! A boy didn't believe that his tongue WOULD really stick to the flagpole if he did it. He tried, now he knows!!! Jennye brought some warm water out to the pole but AFTER she took a quick picture, first! HahaDad decided he needed a commuter car because his truck was just to expensive for gas. So he found this Beautiful BMW in Arizona and so we purchased it, flew down that weekend, picked it up along with some oranges & drove it back.
We stopped at the Orange Patch, & had to take a few pictures to send home & have for our journaling.
And we stopped at Eggstasy for breakfast before turned around & headed back home.
We had a hard time finding there was a fuse that wasn't working & the fuse box is back behind the glove box & a little trickier to get too & learn about after dealing with Japanese & American built vehicles.
Perfect January temperatures for a drive...
And SOOO it BEGINS....
