- Little Moab / Eureka Ride Friday, May 26th 2023 -
Last day of the school year, but I decided with it only being a couple hours I'd just take it off. So Friday we went riding. Last year when Steph came out to visit, Mike was down because of his eye surgery so we never took Steph for a Talon ride. So this year we squeezed in 2 rides, right before she headed back home. Both rides were to places Mike & I haven't been, so that was fun!
This part of the ride was called Little Moab, slick GRAY rocks-
Then onto the dirt trails, where you go through this old train tunnel & onto Eureka-
Then we stopped off at a little cafe in Eureka for lunch- it was good, not busy but I'm not sure they were ready for us or another small group of people. But after talking with the waitress for a few minutes she let us know that part of the building we were in, was the old phone company that DelRae's dad worked at MANY YEARS earlier. So we took some pictures of their old pictures & the building to show her.
We went riding with Scott & Michelle too-
The clouds started rolling in & darkened up on our way back to the trailers, but we made it out okay.
The WiLDFLoWeRS were pretty & many different colors...
- Diamond Fork / Summit Ride Monday, May 29th, 2023 -
Then on Monday we wanted to take her to Diamond Fork, along with Scott & Michelle, Megan. G&G Gillett were suppose to come but it ended up just being Gpa Gillett, so we invited Bailey to join us. So we headed down to Diamond Fork but when we got there, it was closed due to some mudslides, so ended up driving & going to another trail not too far away called Summit. It was another new area we haven't been & will try to check it out again & explore.
We came across SNoW a few times on our ride in this area.
We stopped for lunch & everyone was looking at the clouds & saying what shapes they were etc
We got pretty muddy & dirty-
Then Scott got his machine stuck, so we pulled him out-
It was FUN to bring Steph on a ride & show her how much FUN they are-
When we got back to the trailers we had a screw in our trailer tire, so we drove down out of Spanish Fork Canyon where we had to replace the tire.
We had a nice young guy ask us if we needed help, to which Mike replied No thank you! But then the guy told us he had a lug nut gun & Mike's answered REALLY QUICK! This guy had the tire off & switched out within a minute or two. SO GRATEFUL for him & his willingness to HELP some strangers!
Then it was time to WASH the Talon & get all the mud off from 2 rides over the weekend-
