Early Morning ACT Test for Bailey

On Tuesday, December 8th Matt Bishop was in a very serious accident in SLC. This month has been one of MANY, MANY Prayers, fasting & thoughts going to Matt & the Bishop family. I have been very grateful to have been a witness through all the prayers, & fasting and to hear of miracles after miracles happening in his regard. I was able to go up to the hospital & visit with Andrea the Saturday after it happened. I spent a good 2-2 1/2 hours there talking with her, hearing the story of what happened, etc. Its a MIRACLE he is even alive! Our family has been a part of prayers & fasting for Matt & his doctors etc. And to see & hear the things that have taken place are such a BLESSING! Andrea has since started a blog/journal & been writing the happenings of the days events, the story etc. I truly am grateful to hear the miracles that have happened.

There were a couple Blood Drives, one at City Hall in Alpine that was set up especially for Matt. Then another Stake Blood Drive was already planned & taking place on December 29th, which ended up the Red Cross saying that since the first one was so well attended & couldn't get everyone in, they would allow this second one to be placed under Matt's name also.

On Christmas day, and a few days following Matt had some serious challenges that he was having a hard time overcoming. He slipped into a deep, unresponsive state & it had us all VERY CONCERNED & praying for MORE miracles for Matt. He did end up getting better after a few days & they ended up having to take most of his leg, but he's still alive, so that's what matters!

The Allen's left us during Christmas Break this year for England, to go see Todd's Mom & husband on their mission. They had a GOOD time but boy did we miss them!

Way back in October during Monday Night football it came up that you could pre-purchase your Star Wars tickets, so Mike had me get tickets. So finally on Saturday, December 19th we went to the 11 am showing. The kids didn't have a CLUE to what Star Wars was about but it kept them entertained for the most part just to go for Dad. Bailey went again on Monday for their work party @ Jdawgs, so she had a second chance-

Christmas 2015

I woke up before all the kids & Mike. I got up, got the Orange Rolls out to rise, got prepped for Christmas morning etc. The rest of the family didn't even wake up until 9:30 or so. AND we actually ate breakfast BEFORE we opened presents!!! Its the first time that;s happened in the Gillett household- Tanner said he smelt the Orange Rolls baking & was SO HUNGRY, so that's why He got out of bed, went to Bailey's room & told her to come up to eat with him. My, oh my how times have changed-

It snowed Christmas Eve & again on Christmas.

It was so nice this year, getting up when we woke up, eating breakfast & not having to go anywhere on Christmas this year. We stayed home, didn't go to the Gillett's or the Paskett's, just vegg'd at home. Watched tv, movies & played games. We did end up sending some rolls with Tanner to take to the Nunleys who were in town.

We shared a FUN game with the kids that Mike & I play at his Candlelight work parties, its called Left, Right Center. Now I had to warn them we don't ENDORSE gambling or money gaming BUT for this game we have made an exception. I believe we will start this new tradition in playing this game on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve. We played it a number of times because Mike & I kept winning the $15 money prize at the end. So we'd play again & at the end of playing like 5 or 6 games, Mike finally gave the 2, $15 prizes to Bailey & Madi because Tanner won once. So they each won $15 in one dollar bills. It was a FUN game!

Then Dad *FARTED* and cleared the kitchen! and our nostrils....

And he farted AGAIN!!! that's when we were definitely done playing-

Dad hadn't been feeling very well over Christmas, he had a head cold but wouldn't let anyone else plow with the four wheeler, so he went out & plowed over & over again-

During Christmas Break I got a Kneaders gift card so we went & used that up in Draper, then drove over to Pirate O's to get a few yummy snacks & drink flavors for Mike. The girls didn't want to come into the store because it stinks, so they sat outside in the COLD car- & snapchatted us.

Also during Christmas Break, Colton & MacKenzie (his gf) bought a CUTE puppy from Puppy Barn. So we went over to Gmas a few times to see & love on him. His name is Rizzio. However, they ended up selling him because they didn't really think through the whole dog/puppy thing, with work, apartment that won't let him stay at, school, vacations coming up, etc.
