in the month of July...

Bailey ended up getting invited down to St. George with Liz and her family so we had to entertain ourselves somehow...Despicable Me 2 movie with Mo & Rachel.

- Happy 4th of July -

and Mike, Tanner, Madi & went to the Real Soccer July 4th game 

 Mike gave me & the kids the option of earning some spending money for Bear Lake. We took him up on it and cleaned the house Mike has been working on. So we spent a couple Saturday and a couple hours and couple of other days. Bailey was going to help but ended up being able to go to St. George and got out of it. But on the final clean day she was back so we had her help us. It was a lot of work foe good for all of us! Mike did a great job on this home & built it in only like 65 days, from hole dug to walk through.    

 

 One night we were watching tv & I got a little chilly so I got Bailey's favorite blanket, took this picture & text it to her- She wasn't HAPPY but it was So funny!!! 

 Matt, Trevor & one of their friends had gone down to Southern Utah & went hiking in a canyon that one of them had been too. They got there Friday night, I believe, and were planning on being there until Saturday night, & be back for Elycia's twins blessing on Sunday. When they didn't show late Saturday people started getting concerned. Grandma called me Sunday morning and said she needed to tell someone, cuz' they weren't telling too many yet. It was Fast Sunday so we added them to our prayers. They said that they would contact Search & Rescue soon. Sunday afternoon my parents became more worried, as they still hadn't shown up yet. Sunday afternoon came and they began telling the family, asking for prayers. Search & Rescue said that there was lightning, and too much wind that evening so they wouldn't be sending out helicopters until the next morning around 8 am. Sunday night we all headed over to G&G Paskett's and hung out with the family. I then began to ask for prayers from friends on Facebook. Grateful for all the love & support during that time. Here are some of my entries....

July 8th- Okay, so immediate family has known & have been waiting since yesterday morning but now I'm feeling like my family could use more prayers please! My brother, Matt, nephew, Trevor & their friends went down to Zion's to go on a difficult hike. They are experienced hikers but never came home Saturday night, when they said they would. So searchers are headed out at 8 am for them this morning, because with lightning & wind yesterday it was to dangerous for helicopters. So this is where your *PRAYERS* come in, that they'll get the help they need, be located & that everyone is okay, so they can bring them back safe & sound. It's been a difficult waiting game & I know my brother will say, "Why were guys all so worried, we were FINE?" But after 30+ hours past the time they said they'd be back- Ya, we are VERY worried!

July 8th around 11 am or so- They've been located!!! By helicopter but need to send ground crews in to get them. They were waving so that's great news!!!!!!! Thank you for all the prayers!!! It will be awhile before we know more. They were toward the end of the trail but they were waving!!!!

 A tender moment I caught yesterday of my mom & dad while we were all just waiting for any word from the search team. #tendermercies

July 8th- Update: They have decided it would be best to go in and helicopter them out one by one. It will take awhile & will let you know more when we hear more. Thanks again for all your prayers 

July 8th- Update: Matt called, he sounds good but tired! He will call later, but wanted to just check in & talk to mom & dad. 

Soon after Matt gave me a text and asked if I'd take the picture down from facebook. I don't know the FULL story yet, its been quite difficult for them, but I DO KNOW it was a very spiritual experience and he testifies of the Power of the Priesthood, and I'm sure Prayer! Grateful they are safe n' sound!!!

We finally have insurance & so Bailey had her 15 year old check up!
and because she read her Book of Mormon we finally took her to get her Drivers Permit...it took a few tries, but she eventually DiD iT!!! Passed the test on her 4th try & two days later, she DiD iT!!!

 Wednesday, July 30th

So very proud of my cute Beehive YW today! 9 of our 11 yw were able to come today. This summer we had a goal to do Baptisms for the Dead at 3 different Utah Temples, and today was our finally one. In which, the girls chose the Salt Lake City Temple (of course). Having to wait hours, I have to commend these YW, they were SO patient, respectful & thoughtful. I couldn't be more proud!!! Great job parents-
