So right after school on Thursday, (the day before Madi's birthday) Bailey & I picked up Madi, Jessica and Lauren and headed down to see the new movie, "Dolphin Tale" in AF. None of the girls a had seen it yet and where very ANXIOUS to see it. Madi wanted to see, "Abduction" with Taylor Lautner in it, but it being PG-13 and not thinking it would be the best show for 11 years to see at a Birthday gathering. So Dolphin Tale it was, and it was really GOOD.
This was set up just inside the theater and the girls thought it was so FUN so they had to get a picture of it-
Madison's 11th Birthday, Bailey and I decided to decorate her room while she was still at school, but before we went to a movie with her and her 2 friends.
She LOVED having HER room decorated this year, instead of the kitchen where we always decorate for birthdays. (We did have to CLEAN her room before we decorated...if you know me, I was more happy to have her room cleaned than to decorate!)
cRaZY Madi!?!!?! a fun new BiRTHDaY tradition at our house are these fun glasses & crazy hat!
Madi opening up her Birthday card from her Aunt Stephanie who is in Portland, OR. And the SMiLE on her face, is for the $$$ that fell out when she opened up the card. :0)
thank YOU Aunt Steph-
She got the new Demi Lavato cd
and then the other present...a iPOD touch & case
It was the only thing she wanted, and the ONLY thing she got!
The week of her birthday just happened to be Red Ribbon Week and CrAzY HaIr day just happened to be ON her birthday-
I had to take a few side views, because all of the items she & Bailey put IN her hair. Stuffed animals, a anti bacterial bottle, necklace, charms, and flowers.
It also just happened to be their "end of the month" party for all 5th graders who finished ALL work/homework in the month of September. And because I am the Room Mother, I was able to walk Ms. Mitchell's class first thing Friday morning from school over to Burgess Park and hang out until noon.
We first had a Bubble Gum blowing contest within our classes, then the top 3 winners of each class then competed against the other three 5th grade classes.
Then they split the 4 classes into 4 groups with some kids from each class. The rotated through 4 different stations of games. Parachute, and then dodge ball with small stuffed balls.
And then there was Huge ball Volleyball, where the kids either were able to put it over the net OR the kids were POUNDED into the ground by it when they couldn't push it up & over. (Madi is directly under the ball in this picture.)
After school, we couldn't decide where to go for dinner, and good thing because G&G Gillett stopped by unexpectedly to give Madi her present. Then as time got away from us, Madi ended up deciding to go to Pizza Pie Cafe for a "yummy" pizza/pasta dinner. Where just as we finished, Tanner ended up coming with his friends. Madi didn't want the "Birthday" dessert there so we headed back home to watch the BYU/USU football and have some Rootbeer Floats. And for Sunday dinner she requested Crepes with Strawberries & Whipped Cream.
HaPPy 11th BiRTHDaY Madi! We LOVE you!!!!!!
