So back in April at the Family Yard Work day at G&G Paskett's house, Gpa asked if we'd be interested in buying their lot, or if we'd want to buy more property behind our house. We didn't think we were interested, but after some thinking and checking into it we thought that it might be something we'd be interested in. Then Gpa Paskett kept coming over to our house in May asking if we'd be interested, and we finally said that if NO ONE ELSE in the family is interested in the lot, then we would be interested. When Gpa came back time & time again & said that NO ONE ELSE in the family was interested in purchasing the lot. So we started looking into house plans through Mike's work. We started moving forward, when in June, Scott went to Gpa & Gma and complained that we got the first lot & shouldn't get the 2nd one. Anyway, LOOOOONG story and so Gma was so worried with things that were said to Gpa that she felt it be best that they pulled the lot off the table. They both were overwhelmed with Matt &\ Katelyn living with them, Katelyn's mom coming to stay the summer with them, and they were watching Rachel's girls a lot. It was all taking such a toll on G&G. Finally Gma came to us and said that she needs to take the lot off the table. We were pretty upset, but later came to us & said that maybe give them until the end of July before they move forward.

So we stopped ALL work or progress! Then towards the end of July G&G said it was back on the table, so we started moving forward & as FAST as we could because we WOULDN'T want to build at all during the winter months. Mike worked really hard & tried his BEST to get the house plans, but ended up having one of their engineers at work had her baby just as we were trying to finish our plans. And by September Mike realized we couldn't get the plans submitted in time to start before the weather set in. So in September we sat down with G&G and asked them if it was okay if we postpone until January or February & start the paperwork then? Which they were okay with-

That was UNTIL the first week of October, when I called to talk to Gma before I left for work one morning & Gpa tells me that she has gone to see Joe (her counselor) because shes having a hard time figuring out how to tell us that the lot is off the table again....which to I respond by being IN SHOCK!!! anyway....LOOOONG Story but I guess now another family member has made comments about us buying the lot & has STIRRED up Gpa ... AGAIN!!! Long story, short we are still sitting on the lot & NOT SURE WHAT'S gonna happen- Gpa isn't doing well mentally, and we ALL can see it by things that have been said & done BUT SOOOO frustrated with this whole thing! Just hoping, praying & fasting for some GOOD NEWS- we have just felt, this is the area we want to live & stay in & the time is right for us, right now- financially & hopefully with interest rates and selling our home. Its been a REALLY tough few months of LIMBO for Mike & I. We've had some pretty BIG fights over it & how mad he is at my parents & for me still being nice when they totally broke our agreement/contract with them on the sell of the lot.
