The boys had just enough time to get home after practice, take a 5 minute shower and head out to the banquet. But those team mom's that put this together knew what they were doing when they planned to make sure to feed 40+ HUNGRY boys and their parents. It was obvious that those team mom's have been part of a RS crew & that the men are a part of a Preisthood Quorom, the way it all turned out and as fast as we cleaned that place up. I was impressed!
Anyway, after we all ate and the boys went through the line two or three times for both dinner and dessert, they began the program. The coaches began by introducing themselves and then they introduced the boys, starting with the JV team.
It turned out to be a fun night, a night to celebrate the boys that made the team.
This picture is when they introduced Tanner and told him the position he'd be playing.
The next day, Friday March 11th Lone Peak played against Provo High School in their first pre-season soccer game. Lone Peak Varsity won 1 to 0 and then the team Tanner plays on, the JV team Won 1 to 0 also. It was so much FUN to see him doing what he has been DREAMING of doing for years!
